USeP KDC co-organized MJR background papers with World Bank, MinDA, and PBSP

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) organized an Agricultural Jobs Value Chain (JVC) and city level Analysis Validation Workshop on January 21 and 22, 2016. The objective of the said workshop was to validate initial findings of the Agricultural Jobs Value Chain research and the city level analysis research based from the data collected and consulted with stakeholders, received and shared comments to proceed to the next step in finalizing papers. This was co-organized by the Knowledge Development Center (KDC) of USeP, Mindanao Development Authority (MinDA) and Philippines Business for Social Progress (PBSP).

The team who prepared the draft background paper and reported to the stakeholders were the faculty from University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP). Joeteddy Bugarin, reported about the durian value chain, Purisima Bayacag, Acting Director of Research and SMARRDEC, prepared about cardaba banana value chain, Agustina Tan-Cruz, Dean of School of Applied Economics, arranged a topic about coconut value chain and Jennifer Hinlo reported about Davao City Analysis.

The workshop accommodated 40 participants and gathered the key resource persons, which were consulted during the field research, validated and provided feedbacks and insight on the research findings.

Dr. Karl Kendrick Chua from The World Bank concluded the workshop by giving the synthesis and the next step for the papers.
