USeP: celebrating its 37th foundation day

The University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) will be holding its 37th Founding Anniversary Celebration this coming December 13 to 19, 2015 with the theme: “Link.Forge.Collaborate: The USeP Way.” The host college, which is the College of Education, scheduled various faculty, staff and student activities all throughout the week including the Investiture of USeP’s 6th President, Dr. Lourdes C. Generalao on December 14 at 4:00 pm.

An Ecumenical Mass will be held at 6:00am on Day 1, followed by the Opening Ceremony at the USeP Gym. The ASEAN Flag Raising, ASEAN National Anthem, and Float/Mascot Parade will be held in the afternoon. The Investiture of Dr. Generalao will also proceed after the opening of the Bazaar.
The Opening of Faculty and Staff Sports Festival will be held at the USeP Center Stage on Day 2, together with the Gender and Development Photo Exhibit at the University’s Social Hall. The University medical team, will also conduct bloodletting, dental care, and eye check-up on the same day.
A medical dental checkup and FBS for 40 years old and above will be conducted at the USeP Clinic the following day (Day 3), to be headed by Dr. Zenaida Talattad. Other activities during the day include Christian Music and Arts Festival, University Quiz Bowl, and Arts Haven.
The week-long celebration will be concluded by the Faculty and Staff Night which includes the Awarding Ceremony. From December 14 – 18, students, faculty, staff, and visitors can enjoy the Amusement Rides and Fun which will be set up in the USeP Oval.

USeP’s Foundation Anniversary is a reminder that the University has been answering the society’s demand for highly-skilled, competent, and morally upright graduates for 37 years now. The main goal is to foster socio-economic growth not only in Mindanao, but also in the whole Philippines by becoming a Premier University in the ASEAN Region. With the close realization of ASEAN Integration, USeP will continue to aim for higher excellence in the years to come.
