USeP top 4 performing school in electrical engineer board exam, grad ranks 8th

The University of Southeastern Philippines ranked fourth among the top schools, with 50 or more examinees, in the recent electrical engineer licensure examinations held in Manila, Baguio, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Legazpi, Lucena and Zamboanga this month. The University got an institutional passing rate of 84.04 (79 out of 94). National passing rate was 67.23 (2,536 out of 3,772).

Aside from making it as one of the top performing schools, a graduate of USeP also made it to the top ten passers. Abrehn A. Gacang notched the eight place with a rating of 89.60.

It can be recalled that two (2) graduates from the University ranked seventh and eight in the mining engineer licensure examination held last month.  Earl Jay L. Paras notched the seventh place with a rating of 87.35, while Dave Mc Cleo D. Raganas placed eight with a rating of 87.05.

This accomplishment attests that USeP is performing well in government standardized exams. Relatively, the USeP Tagum-Mabini campus was also listed as one of the country’s top 10 teacher education institutions, based on licensure examination performance, per study conducted by the Philippine Business for Education or PBED from 2009-2014.
