Wi-Fi Hits Campus Airwaves

Students and employees of USeP can now have wireless internet access within the university premises as a campus-wide, Wi-Fi internet service has been officially launched. To access the network, the user is required to connect to the Wi-Fi Service Set Identifier  “USeP Wifi “ and enter his/her login credentials in the ensuing login page. For beginning users, the default username is their student or employee biometric ID number and the default password is their birthdate following the format: yyyymmdd (yyyy-year,mm-month,dd-date).

The Wi-Fi hotspots are accessible in the following areas in the university:
  • College of Education lobby.
  • Center stage and in-front of the College of Technology building
  • Gazeebo and open area field in-front of the College of Engineering
  • Registrar’s office and finance office lobby
  • Outside of social hall and open field
Students must be officially enrolled in the current semester to avail of the service. Currently, it is only available in the University’s main campus and is covered by the university policy on internet usage.

This project is spearheaded by the Institute of Computing (IC), in line with the University’s continuous pursuit of providing services to facilitate better student learning and improve employee performance.

Further information about the terms and specifications of the service can be found in the login portal. Users who experience technical problems are advised to visit the Technical Services Department of IC at the ground floor of the College of Engineering building and look for Engr. Ariel L.
