HCDC partners USEP in librarian licensure review

test papersThe Holy Cross of Davao College, (HCDC) Inc. and the University of Southeastern Philippines (USeP) partner in conducting the librarian licensure review which starts on August 22, 2011 at the Knowledge for Development Center (KDC), Obrero, Davao City.

The director of the University Review Center (URC), Dr. Marilyn D. Biton, immediately assists the need to house the review classes for licensure examination for librarians.

The URC of USeP being the accredited review center recognized by the Commission on Higher Education will spearhead the review sessions and commits to help librarians to acquire the basic but vital requirements needed for their job application.

The said review aims to provide pertinent knowledge of the Library Science graduate; to provide excel-lent and affordable review classes that will enhance competencies and proficiencies of students from feeder schools on the Davao area region; and to help graduates with the necessary preparation to pas the licensure examination as prescribed by the Professional Regulations Commission (PRC).

There are six major subjects to be reviewed, these are the: cataloguing and classification; management and types of libraries, collection development, reference and bibliography, abstracting and indexing, and information technology.

Meanwhile, the review will be done in 13 sessions every Sunday.

The registration fee is Php 4,500.00 which covers review materials and payment for review masters. The mode of payment is also given to less the burden of the attendees.

The pools of faculty members are highly educated and one of the best professors in the field of the Library and Information Science: Mrs. Angelita A. Bisares, Dr. Briccio Merced, Mrs. Melinda B. Alba, Mrs. Restituta D. Macarayo, and Dr. Anita C. Sornito.
