Charles Darwin University, USeP sign MOU

charlesCDU-USEP Partnership Recognizing the value of scientific and educational collaboration between institutions, two public schools from two different continents entered into a memorandum of understanding.

The Charles Darwin University, Northern Territory, Australia represented by Vice Chancellor Barney Glover and the University of Southeastern Philippines, Davao City, Philippines represented by Pres. Perfecto Alibin formalized their understanding to facilitate the exchange of ideas, students, and scholars/staff.
CDU-USEP Partnership

The MOU signing happened on November 14 at the Board Room of the Office of the President, USeP. It took place after a discussion on internationalization, which covers international curriculum, student mobility, and staff exchanges, was made by Prof. Glover. After the presentation was an open dialogue that was participated in by the USeP vice presidents, deans of colleges, directors of some units, president of the student council and editor-in-chief of the student publication.

charles1The Vice Chancellor of CDU on his visit to USeP was joined by Ms. Monica Turvey, Director, International Strategy and Development, and Ms. Maysie Procianos, Manager, International Admissions. Also present were Mr. Mark Flores, deputy facility director of Philippines-Australia Human Resource Organizational Development Facility (PAHRODF), and Ms. Ma. Julieta Torres, Vice President of the University of Mindanao who represented Dr. Guillermo P. Torres, Jr., UM President and public information officer of the Association of Teacher Education Institutions in Mindanao (ATEIM). President Alibin who also heads ATEIM invited some officers of the Association to be part of the event. (USeP PIO)
