Last August 12, 2011 representatives from the SiliconGulf Initiative and Philippine Global Outsourcing headed by Christopher Cubos conducted a 3-hour PHP Development Roadshow in the University of Southeastern Philippines - Institute of Computing. Various PHP Development Framework were presented to the students and appreciation of different technologies was highlighted. Students were given a chance to become familiar with the latest and most promising PHP Development Framework such as Yii, CodeIgniter and FuelPHP.
Chris Cubos also presented some basic applications developed under various PHP Dev Frameworks. Students were able to get important information specifically related to their existing student projects to which these frameworks may be of great help. Moreover, this activity propels the motivation of students to pursue specialization in this field. |

Five (5) graduating students from the Institute of Computing qualify in the career examination of DASH Engineering Philippines, Inc. These students, after their graduation, will be hired by the company should they wish to pursue their career with them.
DASH Engineering Philippines, Inc. is a japanese company based in Cebu City, Philippines whose business is into Plant Engineering and Ship Building. This 1st semester SY 2011-2012 a team from this company visited the University of Southeastern Philippines to present their staffing requirements and their company profile. Graduating students from the College of Engineering and Institute of Computing were invited to participate in the company briefing and career qualifying examination held last July 20, 2011. |
